Ararat Junior Tour (12 - 13 May)
The first of the 2012 Junior Tours was held at Ararat on the weekend with a number of QuickCycle riders racing in the 2 day event. The overall results were:

JM17 A Grade - Lucas (2nd) & Jordan (5th)

JM17 B Grade - Kurt (1st), Thomas (4th), Angus, Jacob & Nick

JW17 A Grade - Chloe (3rd)

JM15 A Grade - James (1st), Kyle (3rd), Ryan (6th) & Godfrey (12th)

2012 Phillip Island Grand Prix (12 May)
Congratulations to Grace for her 9th place in the 66km Phillip Island Grand Prix which was raced in extremely windy conditions. This year's event saw 3 of the 46 women riders pull out of the event and 101 of the 137 men's riders not finish due to the windy conditions.

Mt Donna Buang IRTT (6 May)
In the Senior's ITT, a strong Men's A grade field saw Mitch & Alistair finish 12th and 14th respectively and Grace 2nd placed in the Women's ITT.

The Junior races saw Michael finish 4th place in the JM17 while in JM15, James took 1st with Kyle 3rd placed.

Great effort to all who took part in the IRTT.

Warburton Road Race (5 May)

A strong group of QuickCycle riders took part in both the Senior & Junior Warburton road races.

113km Senior's race included Conor, Mitch, Alistair, Hugo & Alex.

The 53km Junior race resulted in Jordan (A grade) & Chloe (B grade) both taking 2nd place as well as great efforts from Kyle, Michael, Jacob, Kurt & James, who all rode A grade and Godfrey and Thomas (B grade).

Busy Weekend for QuickCycle Riders
Weekend of 28 - 29 April saw QuickCycle riders racing in a number of Victorian locations & Wagga Wagga

Tour of South West - Congratulations to Mitch (9th), Hugo (10th) & Alistair (22nd) for their overall B Grade placings in the 2 day event and to Alex for his efforts in C Grade.

Leongatha Junior 2 day event - Placings were achieved by Kyle, Godfrey & Conor in one or more of their events. Congratulations to James for winning the Victorian M15 Hill Climb Championship and Kyle's 3rd place in the Championship.

Wagga Wagga 2 day Road Tour - Congratulations to Jordan and Tomarsh for their overall 3rd & 7th placings respectively in the M17 category and Chloe for her efforts in the W17 category.

2012 Scotty's Ride (21 April)
Congratulations to Mitch (3rd place), Alex & Hugo for their great efforts in the tough Scott Peoples Memorial Handicap in Shepparton

2012 National Hill Climb Championships held at Mt Buffalo over 2 days (31 March - 1 April) included a Time Trial and Road Race. QuickCycle riders who rode in this National event were Mitchell, Hugo, Alistair (JM19), Lucas, Jordan, Tomarsh, Kurt (JM17), Kyle & Godfrey (JM15). Great efforts were put in by all boys.

Congratulations to Lucas for winning the JM17 National Hill Climb title and to Jordan for 3rd place in the same event!

2012 Victorian Junior Crit Championships (25 March)
A number of QuickCycle riders took part in the Victorian Crit Championships held at Castlemaine on the weekend. Mitchell, Alistair, Hugo (JM19), Kurt (JM17), Chloe (JW17), Godfrey, Kyle & Ryan (JM15) all rode well.

Congratulations to all for their efforts and to Ryan for taking out the JM15 Victorian Crit Championship.

2012 National Junior Track Championships (14-17 March)
The 2012 Junior Track Nationals were held over 4 days at DISC in Melbourne. QuickCycle congratulates the riders for their great efforts in achieving the following results:

Braeden - 2nd place in JM17 Team Sprint & 4th place in the JM17 Team Pursuit

Chloe - 3rd place in JW17 Team Pursuit

Ryan - 3rd place in JM15 Sprint & 4th place in JM15 500m Time Trial

Conor - 4th place in JM15 Sprint & 5th place in JM15 500m Time Trial

2012 Subaru Cycling Australia Track National Championships (26-29 Jan)

At the nationals this past week a number of QuickCycles previous riders did really well in the U19 category.

Alex Morgan won gold in the Individual Pursuit and then won gold in the Team Pursuit.

Emerson Harwood won gold in the Sprints, and silver in the Team Sprint & Keirin.

Caitlin Ward won gold in the Sprint, another gold in the Keirin & silver in the Time Trial.

Great rides by all and everyone here at QuickCycle congratulates them and wishes them well for the future.
